Top Nine of Most Popular U.S. Governors are Republicans, Biden Less Popular Than all 50 of Them


Another new poll shows just how bad approval ratings for Joe Biden and the Democrats are as nine of the top ten most popular governors are Republicans and Biden is less popular that every one of the country’s 50 chief executives.
A new Morning Consult poll reports that only one of the top ten governors is a Democrat.
According to the poll, the top ten most popular governors among their constituents are:
- Phil Scott, Vermont (R) – 79%
- Charlie Baker, Mass. (R)- 72%
- Larry Hogan, Maryland (R) 70%
- Chris Sununu, New Hampshire (R) 67%
- Mark Gordon, Wyoming (R) 66%
- Jim Justice, West Vir. (R) 65%
- Ned Lamont, Conn. (D) 64%
- Kay Ivey, Alabama (R) 62%
- Mike DeWine, Ohio (R) 62%
- Spencer Cox, Utah (R) 62%

The governor with the worst approval rating os Oregon Gov. Kate Brown, a Democrat. But a new Marist poll finds that Joe Biden’s approval rating is worse than even Browns.
The latest NPR/Marist poll gave Biden a disastrous 42 percent approval rating. And the recent RealClearPolitics rating was even worse at 41.7 percent.
Other polls have Biden under 40 percent.
