Paper Dumps ‘Person of the Year’ Poll after the Left’s Most Hated Writer, J.K. Rowling, Wins

The leftist UK Guardian abruptly ended its “person of the year” award solely because famed author, J.K. Rowling, was winning — yes, the woman the left now hates for her opposition to the radical transgender agenda.

The poll, asking “Who would be your 2021 person of the year, and why,” was started on December 15, but it was yanked from the site only a week later, Breitbart reported.

Just before the poll was sent down the memory hole, Rowling was cruising into the lead.

Rowling was once celebrated by the left for the wondrous world of Harry Potter she created 25 years ago. Now she is persona non grata because she has spent the last two years questioning the radical transgender agenda.

Per Breitbart News:

As Breitbart News reported, last year she was targeted by trans activists for warning children believed to be “trans” should not necessarily be “shunted towards hormones and surgery.”

She was previously denounced as a “TERF” — “Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminist” — for defending a woman’s right to decline to describe someone who is not biologically female as a woman.

Daring to suggest biological sex differences retain a degree of significance regardless of “gender identity” has also drawn ire from the left.

More recently she publicly scolded Scottish police for documenting male rapists as “women.”

In a tweet she shared an article from the Times highlighting the absurdity of the practice while reciting three slogans from George Orwell’s 1984.

“War is Peace. Freedom is Slavery. Ignorance is Strength. The Penised Individual Who Raped You Is a Woman,” tweeted Rowling.

Well, that is just a tiny taste. Rowling has now posted hundreds of tweets attacks the extreme left for it support of woman-destroying transgenderism.

Clearly, the Guardian didn’t want to be seen telling the world that an opponent of hardcore transgenderism is a beloved character!

Damn the truth, says this newspaper.
