Amid Soaring Gas Prices Joe Biden Wants to Eliminate Yet Another U.S. Pipeline
With prices of gasoline and home heating oil soaring day-by-day, Joe Biden is poised to damage the energy sector even more by closing a second major oil pipeline here in the U.S.A.
As gas prices have tripled since the disastrous Biden entered the White House, the administration is now saying it wants to shut down the oil pipeline in Michigan, a state being run into the ground by a hard-core, left-wing governor.
Biden is reportedly looking to cancel the 78-year-old Line 5 oil pipeline owned by a Canadian company named Enbridge, the Daily Mail reported.
Michigan’s loon leftist Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has been attacking the pipeline since she ascended to her throne and recently revoked and terminated Enbridge’s easement with the state meaning that the pipeline would have to shut down. Endbridge is fighting that in court.
The latest attack on the pipeline is from a group of Native Americans who claim that the pipeline is an “existential threat to our treaty-protected rights, resources, and fundamental way of life.”
They are asking Biden to step in and summarily eliminate the pipeline.
They argue the oil pipeline infringes on the 1836 Treaty of Washington, “which ceded Ojibwe and Odawa lands in Michigan in exchange for fishing, hunting and gathering rights on the treaty territory.” But Jason Hayes, director of environmental policy at the Mackinac Center for Public Policy, believes canceling the pipeline would violate an agreement with Canada that allows the pipeline to flow between the two North American countries.
Meanwhile, gasoline is approaching an average of $4.00 a gallon and even over $8.00 in some parts of the country.
America went form energy independence for the first time in decades under Trump to once again being dependent on foreigners under this idiot in the White House today. And now he wants to eliminate even MORE energy capabilities AND the subsequent loss of jobs that will entail.
