Monty Python Star Terry Gilliam Blasts Woke ‘Ideologues’ Who Got His Musical Canceled

Monty Python star Terry Gilliam is blasting the fascist leftists who got his stage musical cancelled because of things he’s said in the past that isn’t woke enough for today’s leftists.
The 81-year-old auteur has been attacked in recent years for saying things that goes against what the left-wing, ultra-woke now say. But now, even though Gilliam has been a liberal for more than 60 years, the woke cancel culture has risen up to cancel him.
Gilliam’s newest project, a musical called Into the Woods, has been cancelled because people don’t like the “controversial remarks” that he has said recently. The woke fools forced The Old Vic Theater to cancel Gilliam.
The Python alum and filmmaker jumped to his Facebook to blast the woke morons who have targeted him.
“It is very sad that a great cultural institution like The Old Vic allowed itself to be intimidated into cancelling our production of Into The Woods by a small group of closed-minded, humour-averse ideologues on their staff who, absurdly, call themselves ‘The Old Vic 12’ … as if they are the victims of some cruel injustice desperately fighting for their freedom!” he wrote on Facebook.
“My unspeakable crime was recommending my Facebook followers to watch a Netflix special by a brilliant and provocative American comedian, and then share with me their opinions,” he continued. “They did and civilisation did not collapse! However, The Old Vic’s artistic credibility certainly has.”
“Freedom of Speech is often attacked, but I never imagined that Freedom of Recommendation would be under threat as well,” he said.
The famed animator, writer, and movie director has become a very outspoken supporter of free speech and has railed against the fascist left and its cancerous cancel culture.
Gilliam is also a big supporter of Dave Chappelle, the latest comedian the cancel culture leftists have been trying to erase from the public record.
Fortunately, Gilliam has found another venue for his play. The show will open next August at the Theatre Royal in Bath.
Regardless, this is all just proof that the left is evil. After all, Gilliam comes out of the anti-war left from the Vietnam era. He has been at the forefront of liberal ideals since the 1960s. But now, today’s left wants to cancel him because he is no longer left enough for them!
