First U.S. Case of ‘Omicron’ COVID Found… in Vaccinated California

The first case of the so-called “Omicron variant” of the coronavirus has been found in heavily vaccinated, left-wing, COVID-obsessed California.

Note that it wasn’t found in one of those evil red states that liberals keep telling us are going to kill everyone. It was in one of those leftist states that they tell us are our savior.

On Wednesday, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released a notice saying officials officially found the first example of the latest coronavirus variant in the U.S. The Omicron was first identified by scientists in South Africa on Nov. 22.

“The individual, who was fully vaccinated and had mild symptoms that are improving, is self-quarantining and has been since testing positive,” the CDC reported, adding, “All close contacts have been contacted and have tested negative.”

The virus was identified using genomic sequencing at the University of California-San Francisco.

During a press conference, arrogant national scold, Anthony Fauci, said that the the infected person was identified with the variant on Nov. 29. The patient had also not gotten a booster shot.

Fauci added, “We feel good that this patient not only had mild symptoms but actually the symptoms appear to be improving.”

The White House added, “It was only a matter of time before the first case of Omicron was detected in the U.S. We are prepared to meet this challenge with science and speed.”

“The President’s medical team continues to believe that existing vaccines will provide some level of protection against severe illness from Omicron, and individuals who have gotten boosters have even stronger protection. As such, we urge all adults to get their booster shots and to get themselves and their kids vaccinated, if they haven’t already,” the White House statement continued.
