The search for Noah’s Ark has likely been an ongoing endeavor since the earth dried off from the flood. There have been numerous supposed discoveries of the remains of the Ark over the centuries, but none have proved authentic–until now.
A group of Chinese archeologists and scientists completed a search for the Ark in May of 2020. It was a four-week endeavor combing through areas within the Mt. Ararat mountain range in Turkey. At the end of the second week, the Ark was discovered.
The Bible reports in Genesis 8:4, “In the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, the ark rested upon the mountains of Ararat.” Wikipedia says this about Mt. Ararat:
Mount Ararat is a snow-capped and dormant compound volcano in the extreme east of Turkey. It consists of two major volcanic cones: Greater Ararat and Little Ararat. Greater Ararat is the highest peak in Turkey and the Armenian Highland with an elevation of 5,137 m; Little Ararat’s elevation is 3,896.
The remains of the Ark were found 200 yards below the highest peak of Greater Ararat. The remains included a large section of the front part of the Ark, the bow and some of the long fuselage. All remains are in greatly decayed condition but clearly visible. The dimensions were compatible with the ones dictated to Noah.
This incredible discovery led to yet another discovery. Within the frame of the Ark was found small groups of extractible DNA. The DNA was well preserved inside some unidentified material. This is a true miracle considering the time lapse of 4000 years. According to Bishop Ussher’s time line, the Ark sailed in 2343 BC.
The good condition of the DNA sample is likely attributable to the extreme cold temperatures found at those altitudes on Mt. Ararat. The DNA that was successfully extracted contained the DNA of some ancient life form either animal or human. No further details have been revealed.
Actually, this was a triple discovery. First, the Ark was discovered. Then the DNA was found. And finally, within the DNA was found Covid-19. Yes! Covid-19.
It is likely that Noah and his family were all infected and possibly some of the animals. The search team did not find any masks or gloves. However, all the chairs and tables were six feet apart and the buffet was boarded up.
As the Bible says, “There is nothing new under the sun.”
