Biden Treasury Nominee on Video Saying Govt. Must ‘Bankrupt’ Oil, Gas, and Coal Industries
Joe Biden’s radical, left-wing nominee for a top Treasury Department seat is seen on video saying that a government’s goal should be to “bankrupt” the oil, gas, and coal industries to stop global warming.
Bien’s communist nominee, Saule Omarova, is seen on the videos only as far back as March telling viewers of the Jain Family Institute’s “Social Wealth Seminar” series that government needs to destroy America’s energy sector.
“Here what I’m thinking about is primarily the coal and oil and gas industry. A lot of the smaller players in that industry are going to probably go bankrupt in short order, at least we want them to go bankrupt if we want to tackle climate change,” Omarova said in one video clip.

In another video created in May, she speaks about “starving” the U.S. energy sector of revenue by draconian regulations, constant fines, and high licensing costs among other government tricks used to steal wealth.
“The way we basically get rid of those carbon financiers is we starve them of their sources of capital,” she said at a virtual roundtable on “investment and decarbonization,” also hosted by the Jain Family Institute.

As the Washington Free Beacon noted, Omarova has also been heard praising the oppressive disastrous policies of the old Soviet Union.
Omarova has also faced scrutiny over her academic record and comments in support of some Soviet-era economic policies. In 2019, Omarova said the Soviet Union was superior in some ways to Western market economies because state control of paychecks to workers meant there was no gender pay disparity. Sen. Pat Toomey (R., Pa.), the ranking member of the Senate Banking Committee, has called on Omarova to turn over a copy of a thesis she wrote on Karl Marx when she studied at Moscow State University. Omarova scrubbed her résumé of references to the thesis prior to her nomination.
This anti-American, anti-capitalist leftist is who Biden wants to lead the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency — part of the Treasury Dept. that regulates banks.
